Observation details
Previously reported. I got a few photos. Big thanks to Sherri Hansen for finding and reporting this species. I saw two Ruddy Turnstones when I finally got to the site this evening. Easy to pick out with the unique beak shape (longest on the top of the upper mandible) and patterning on breast. These birds were larger than the only other shorebird present at this location that I saw (Baird's Sandpipers). When I was present, the first RUTU I saw was foraging along the very tip of the peninsula in the gravely area. The second was foraging at the south side of the tip of the peninsula in an area with lots of dry of algae.
