NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial. General Climate: Wet. Cover Density: Thick.) This Ninox was imitated by human voice. The bird stopped singing and probably the same bird flew over making the recorded calls. Flying bird not seen and, therefore, identification not 100%! Spizaetus cirrhatus was calling in the dark, after sunset, at the end of the recording. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
