Observation details
**Rare in Puget Sound. Juvenile. First spotted flying in Dalco. It kept flying closer until it was straight in the Tahlequah ferry line, at which point it plopped down and began flycatching from the water for several minutes. It kept working its way gradually east until it disappeared toward Browns Point. Small jaeger with narrow tern-like wings but larger hand/wrist (giving pushed-forward appearance in flight. Tiny head, light build. Whole plumage mottled dark gray, with cold tones, lacking cinnamon or brown. Paler gray at base of tail and the collar/nape. Minimal white flash in primaries, visible only from below. 1-2 bright white primary shafts were visible from above.
