Observation details
Note that the two photos of the female and immature were taken on the late afternoon of 31 August, when I was not recording; they were two of six sandgrouse I saw then, ie two males, two females and two immature. I am consistently seeing them in the same place and it does appear that st least a small group has taken up residence for the time being - something of which I have seen no evidence in the previous five years I have been living here.
