Observation details
Rare county shorebirds. 1st bird found after floundering for Warblers in wooded section at Outer harbor drive. Walking bike path along lake shore at approximately 11:45 spotted what at first I thought was a WRSA, but noted the general difference in size; foraging along rock barrier. Around 12:30 closer to Slip spotted 3 shorebirds flying from lake shore towards parking lot along with Tony Dovorak. Deciding whether to walk back to car ,deferred and caught up to Tony who had refound them at end of slip along rock jetty .Substantially different than SESA buffier head and breast with primaries noticeably longer than tail. Great find by Outer Harbor firm Ketry/R,byz . County bird. Photos to be added.
