Media notes
A large flock of them, easily 100+ was feeding maybe 100ft to 200ft above the ground near the retention pond at Ken Oblik Parkway. It seemed pretty clear based on reports from other observers in Ontario that large groups had begun migrating. Images shot at 600mm f6.3 between 1/2000 and 1/4000 at 500 to 1000 ISO using my Sony a1 camera.
Observation details
I'm not exaggerating in the least. At least 100 nighthawks, likely very many more. Hundreds and hundreds of gulls flying high above them at the same time, but very distinctly in different groups and altitudes.
