Observation details
Impressive concentration at a possible lek site. Females feeding on ground and males mostly calling from trees and occasionally feeding along the females. All were shy but very abundant and easy to detect and count as they fly out of the open field as you walk. They seem to be feeding on turnip (Brassica rapa) seeds. You can hear them calling from the parking lot. IMPORTANT UPDATE: THE PARKING LOT AT NOCHE BUENA RESTAURANT IS NOT SAFE TO LEAVE VALUABLES UNATTENDED. Two incidents in August suggest is better to NOT leave your car alone there. Info on how to get to the exact spot will be in the comments of this checklist (in Spanish).
