Observation details
Refer to the attached photos. Overall grayish birds with blackish primaries that were most blackish above the grayish tail. Whitish area ventrally including vent and undertail coverts, extending toward the legs. Upper breast a somewhat buffy color without noticeable markings. Dark eyeline and whitish supercilium. Bill rather short, much shorter than a dowitcher or Stilt Sandpiper. Light feather edgings topside to light gray feathers. Legs were a dusky yellow.. Shorter legs than on Lesser Yellowlegs. Horizontal posture. Foraged by walking and stopping to pick at surface objects. Slightly larger than nearby Pectoral Sandpipers.
