Photos taken through automobile windshield in the rain. Bird very close to car.
Observation details
Bird standing on side of an elevated levee-like gravel road that ran between two grassy flats. Bird about a foot tall with long yellow legs and a yellow bill. Neck held straight up with small rounded head with conspicuous eye. Wings with scaled appearance and sides next to wings with streaking.
