Media notes
Presumed territorial male, and a different individual than in the other recording in this checklist. A second bird (presumably the female of the pair?) can be occasionally heard duetting or counter-singing a downslurred note in the background in the latter half of the recording.
Observation details
3 apparent pairs plus 2 single birds -- all heard, several seen. This was a target species for us, and I was interested in recording audio, so I paid close attention to exactly how many birds we encountered. The density was impressive, but the air was also still and conditions good for hearing birds from fairly far upslope. The two audio recordings embedded below are of different individuals. A second bird (presumably the female of the pair) can be occasionally heard counter-singing or duetting with the presumed male in one of the recordings.
