Observation details
First seen from top of the fort. Flew twice dodging waves showing white rump. We later stopped by that section of sand and were able to see comparison with two Least Sandpipers. Very tame running within a few feet of us. Flushed showing rump color at point blank range. Lifer at the end of Boca Chica Road just two days ago! Wonderful bird that is distinctive even without showing the rump patch.
