Observation details
Amazing!!! Great views of m and f. First feeding in a flowering wine or shrub (sp?), then dancing together!!! M jumping and wing-flicking on an exposed leafless twig, where joined by F which perches nearby, on the side or above, watching but also flicking wings (could it be a young male?). The whole display lasts over 2 minutes and is reminiscent of Birds-of-Paradise! Afterwards the male returns feeding, but still excited, he flicks regularly his wings. Many P0720-P1025 ID: M has long strong bill, no marron edge visible on gorget and violet extending high on breast F is unstreaked below.
