Media notes
A Red-headed Tanager is excitedly scolding a Colima Pygmy-Owl that has come in (to playback). Wilson's Warbler, Grayish Saltator, and Golden Vireo (singing after 1m25sec) join in the mobbing as well, and more distant White-winged Doves and Red-billed Pigeons call as a Brown-backed Solitaire sings in the near background. The birds are mid-way in a 50' deciduous tree that looks like an alder, on a steep slope above shade-coffee on the E slope of Cerro San Juan. Recorded on a hazy morn (90% thin cloud cover), ca. 70F, using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal parabola.
