Observation details
After we saw the bird fly out of view over the jetty woods from Stewart Park shortly before 6 PM I decided to walk across the golf course into the jetty woods where I had nice looks at the bird perched on a branch overhanging the inlet. --TCL A few minutes later it briefly tried out another perch in leafy maple nearby. Just before 6pm it then glided low to the west over the Jetty Woods and was not refound until Tim Lenz hiked over there past the golf course and discovered it settled more comfortably on the west edge of the woods, along the east bank of Cayuga Inlet. From Tim's description Chris Wood was able to locate it looking east from Allan H. Treman State Marine Park, and a large gang of birders had excellent looks. --Dave Nutter
