Media notes
Several good drums of Golden-cheeked Woodpecker, with occasional calls from different individuals as well. From a big fig tree shading coffee plantation on hilltop above Tecuitata. Background includes: Sulphur-bellied Flycatchers, Grayish Saltator, Black-throated Magpie-Jays, White-tipped Dove, Elegant Trogon, single call note of Squirrel Cuckoo (at 58”). Interval shortened at 31 sec. and drum of same bird added at end (after 1 sec break). Basically sunny morn, but with Pacific haze early. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22” parabola.
