Observation details
It happened just out the corner of my eye, at first; I happened to see a lanky, thin shape flutter down into the usual dead tree beloved by Raptors on the property, and knew immediately it was Accipiter time!! At first, I thought it to be a Sparrowhawk, as the eyes looked enormous and the beak tiny from side on... but the scowling brow and not inconsiderable size soon put me right; I imagine it was a male Goshawk, being in the overlap zone like that... it sat for a perfect photoshoot, before leaping off to scythe towards something I really hadn't expected to see...
