Observation details
Continuing birds located in previously reported open space below the "cave" on the Upper Montara Trail. The four birds reported where seen flying together amongst the coyote bush. At least one was observed to be an adult with contrasting Gray head and brownish back and wings. I was not able to get a photo. I was using a Canon Powershot and with the limited field of view couldn't get it. The photos appear to be of juveniles with less contrasting overall appearance and streaking and long tails. Behavior was typical of Bell's Sparrows. They were feeding on the ground and mostly running to keep hidden rather than flying, though they did fly when exposed.
