A bird that came close in response to playback of its own song in the understory of shade-coffee plantation on E slope of Cerro San Juan, ca. 1250m. Background includes: White-tipped Dove, White-throated Thrushes, Sinaloa Wren, Tropical Parula. Recorded on a pleasant (80F) late morning (mostly sunny but with some scattered clouds), using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
Along a side trail through coffee at 1200m; one bird was interacting with 2 Rusty-crowned Ground-Sparrows (there were chases, but not sure what was going on)
