Observation details
This Roseate Spoonbill was first observed wading in the Chattahoochee River with a Great Egret. The Spoonbill flew further up the river about 500 feet from me. Photo taken with 400 mm Canon. Observed Spoonbill for about 5 min total. His pink wings and flat spoon shaped bill was easily observed as I am very familiar with this bird having spent much time in the South Carolina beaches where they frequent in the warm weather. It is rare to see one in Fulton County.
