Media notes
Possible Eastern Meadowlark song at 0:05 and 0:32 seconds. There is considerable background noise of footsteps as I tried to get closer and closer to the bird while singing.
Observation details
Possible Eastern Meadowlark observed singing on fence post about 100 yards away (recording obtained). The vocalization matched the whistling and rather unimpressive song of the Eastern Meadowlark, not the musical gurgling song of the Western Meadowlark. However, visual evidence to confirm Eastern Meadowlark identification (e.g. white malar, number of white tail feathers) was not obtained because the meadowlark was too far away.
