Media notes
A male Yellow-winged Cacique was displaying from 20’ up in a tall leguminous tree. He was foraging and then displaying to a female ca. 4’ away from him, his yellow crest splayed open into two parts. He lifts his wings partway, leans forward and spreads the crest into two parts, one on each side. Then they both flew away. This was in the TDF along the Camino La Noria ( “Los Ébanos road). Background includes: White-tipped Dove, Golden-cheeked Woodpecker, and Red-billed Pigeon. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
