Observation details
Interesting bird. The malar was definitely yellow and the white in the outer tail was limited compared to Eastern. However, the bird was clearly singing both Eastern and Western songs (recordings attached). My understanding is that it is not entirely uncommon for a meadowlark to learn and sing the other species song. Therefore, I am entering this as a Western based on the fact that it did frequently sing the Western song and the that its appearance was consistent with Western.
