Observation details
Flew down from the north and perched on the last few trees. We walked right up to it, uh-uhed at it and it began calling. It stayed for around 20 minutes. It allowed extremely close approach and excellent point-blank looks, and fed on a few dogwood berries before taking off. Fish Crow features seen include - still in molt, including a couple of primaries - American Crow finishes molt earlier, very purplish sheen to new feathers, hooked bill, pointy-winged appearance and flappier flight, voice and calling posture. They aren't always this cooperative!
