Observation details
Guillemot was a winter plumage bird seen at Meig's Point. Very light with the visible black limited to the bill, the eye, the wings behind the white wing patch and the tail.It was a small bird, smaller than the nearby Ring-billed Gull. .We first saw it at approximately 3:30pm from the viewing platform, then it moved slightly east. We moved to the high point on the trail overlooking the pebble beach to get closer and viewed as it continually dove and resurfaced. It then moved west closer to us and shore. After that iI moved back to the east and farther off shore. We were unable to relocate it after one of its dives.
