Observation details
Adult seen in a small group of six Glossy; bubblegum pink legs most vibrant at the knee, with ruby red eye and white facial piping (which wasn’t terribly bold). Slightly larger than nearby Glossy, favoring WFIB. Soft parts of the facial skin appeared covered in gray marsh mud so this made discerning pink skin there. Photos attached (phone scoped). We studied this for a bit before it flew far to the south….probably okay for a full WFIB vs hybrid, but open to input if it’s felt hybrid cannot be ruled out. Watched it pluck soft mud and preen with it.
