Observation details
Continuing bird found on 9/10 by Ed Thomas and friend. Refound today by Matt Grube after an extensive search by several birders. HY bird with a split eye-ring which was less prominent than a MacGillivray's. The gray-green head did not continue to the throat into a "hood" and the throat, breast, belly and very long undertail coverts were bright yellow. The tail was short. The birds was golden-green above with bright golden-yellow edges on the flight feathers.
