Observation details
Until today I had never seen an NESP sing while in flight! Today just after I had recorded the song one took flight and just like a BOBO it stalled its flight and on quivering wings gave its distinctive "Churll" song. Atlantic subspecies; flank streaking absent or smudged, limited orange on the face, grey fringing on the back, and a relatively large bill.
