Observation details
I saw this big lumbering bird but didn't positively ID at the time. Landed on a tall Jackpine near the top of a high ridge. BAEA size and coloration is consistent with immature BAEAs And BAEAs are common in this area. BUT ... most notable was the straight flat line from the back of the flat head through to the beak that would be a feature of a Golden Eagle. (Acknowledging that a GOEA sighting would be very rare for this area) I heard no call Sighting was far away so pictures are heavily cropped. Original photos could be available if others have better cropping tools.
