Observation details
1 flew in and landed near the creek, with a mourning dove. Calling repetitively. Then flew back into the underbrush, not visible, but still calling. Another Cooper’s Hawk was perched in a tree. I suspect they have a nest nearby. About 15 minutes and a quarter mile later, a Cooper’s hawk with a smaller bird landed in an oak near me. It was calling, and flew into the underbrush near the creek.
