Observation details

Adult bird photographed by Thomas Hessler who posted the photo to a local nature photography Facebook page. Tom does not use eBird so Alec Humann is submitting this record. The heron was initially feeding on the shore of Mirror Lake and then flew into the trees along Scajaquada Creek. The photo surfaced midday on Facebook but unfortunately the bird was not relocated later in the day when locals went looking.
