Observation details

***MEGA. Breeding plumage individual on the water at close range, well-studied at these coordinates: 59.6556, -151.3200. After a couple of minutes of observation, it took flight and flew well to the NNE and out of sight. Brachyramphus murrelet in breeding plumage with white eyering, fairly stark/straight demarcation between brown hindneck and white foreneck with some darker mottling and throat, pale mottled areas within the brown on each side of the back of the head.
