Media notes

NOTES: Weather: WIND; GRUNT WHISTLES OF GADWALLS IN A MIXED FLOCK WITH REDHEADS. ALSO AIX SPONSA, BRANTA CANADENSIS, AYTHYA VALISINERIA, AND ANAS ACUTA. [This is a relatively busy recording with a variety of calls given by this species and several others. As far as I can determine, there are "burp" calls by males, "quacks" by females, and Feeding Calls by both sexes given thoughout this recording. Quality unchanged (2 - though probably more like 2-3 in places) - CAM - 21 March 2005]. Habitat: Pond.

Additional species

  • Redhead Aythya americana
