Observation details
Amazing find by Jacob Elonen shortly before. Small SEPL-sized plover with a super pale gray back, white below, no chest band. Black forehead, small dark cheek patch, and bold black at the bend of each wing. Will post more details. Distant photos. This bird is best seen right now parking at the NE side of the wetlands near the trees, taking the path almost a half mile south and almost a half mile west. From there looking north there is a partial dike with a lot of greenery along the south (near) end of it. The bird was on this spit of land but past (north) of the greenery. This is due south from the bush on the other partial dike to the north. Poor cell phone video through the scope and photos through the scope added.
