Observation details
Continuing, first reported by Dave Elwood, I believe. Upon arrival male singing loudly and frequently. Female eventually became visible as well. One or the other made a few trips to the cavity nest. At one point a small flock of Common Grackles came foraging through, moving down the river. When they moved into the PROW territory and near the nest both individuals were giving near nonstop alarm calls and never approached the nest. Once the last of the Grackles moved on, the male began singing again.
