Observation details
A pair feeding young in a nest under loose bark on a dead standing tree. I could not hear young in the nest, but two adults were going into the nest with bills full of moths, spiders, and assorted flying insects. It was impressive how quickly they acquired bugs and the number of trips they made to the nest during the short time that I watched. One time an adult emerged with a fecal sac. Photos here were taken after I completed my checklist.
