Observation details
Continuing. Found by Randy Hill and others yesterday. Great views this AM at near side of pond. A peep type sandpiper shaped rather like Baird's with bulky chest and long wings extending past tertials and tail; giving an overall attenuated look or posture. Bill medium length, rather straight with slight droop at tip and pale orangish base to lower mandible, whitish supercillium and dark lore. Fine, but rather densely streaked breast and lightly streaked flanks. Did not see well in flight, but white rump visible when facing away with dropped wings.
