Observation details
The one thing I like more than finding a rare bird is finding new breeding grounds for the most uncommon species in an area. This is one of two Grasshopper sparrow breeding areas I have come across in Erie county outside the only other known area of Tillman Rd park. Grasshopper Sparrow is a threatened species in NY and have returned here for the third consecutive year. Should be enough to stop the planned development of indoor marijuana farms by developer Rocco Termini. At least two singing males. I only walked a small area of the grassland habitat edges. Audio and photo evidence recorded
