Media notes
Not sure what they were looking at, but they didn't like it - flushed but only flew a short distance
Observation details
Continuing birds found by Brian E. this morning; see photos; large shorebirds with long legs, long upturned bills, pale rump with fine barring (unlike Hudsonian) seen on all 5, males with paler red chests than male Hudsonian and red extending up the neck into the face. Initially foraging in the grass, then roosting on the mud, then flew a short distance but landed again just below the mud berm.
