Media notes
First a low flight on forage grounds; second a flyover heading for evening roost - including wingbeats!
Observation details
Listed originally as peeps, waited to verify the audio since I wasn't able to get what I needed visually with my bins. Well rewarded! First capture was a small flock moving about the flat N of 95, many SESA about. Second... I was targeting the BNST, who seemed to be prepping to depart, when a small tinkling flock (six peeps) came my way. I had to divert the mic from the Stilts, and the peeps flew right over my head, even offering some tiny wingbeats!!! This is a lifer recording for me, have never heard WRSA to my knowledge. Field note: quality reminiscent of HOLA. And yes the BNST did take off while I was pointing at the peeps but I am happy for the tradeoff. Note one other audio captured in the second record under LESA. It includes a fantastic buzz from what I can only guess is the WRSA.
