Media notes
About 5 seconds in, you can hear the response call from a second bird. It didn't pick up so well on the recording, but it was very clear in the field.
Observation details
Heard one individual singing for a very long time, and also briefly saw the bird with its spectacular black hood on an otherwise yellow body. Stopped singing at 9:46. I couldn't manage a photo through the dense branches, but got a good, long recording. At 10, just a few minutes later, but around 500 meters further along the trail I heard the clinking call, followed by a responding clinking from the other side of the trail, going back and forth a few times. All of a sudden, another individual (photographed) landed in the tree right in front of me while the other two were still clinking. One of the clinkers (I believe a female as it lacked the very distinct hood) very briefly, for less than 2 seconds, joined this male on a branch before they both flew off in the direction of the other clinker. It's possible the singing individual I saw was a fourth bird, but I can't know for certain.
