Observation details
***Rare. Spotted high up in the oaks of the Cascades parking lot. With a parula and a few redstarts. Bright yellow warbler, large black bill, blue wings with no white wingbars, bright white undertail coverts. Back of camera pix will be deleted when I download the photos. Never got a good look at it as it was high up, unusual for the species. Not where I was expecting to find one this spring. LM #165 and and 31st warbler species for this location. The entrance to the Cascades is on the far N end of Morehouse Highway in Fairfield. Take the dirt road down past the sign, and drive to the very bottom where there is a small "island" of trees surrounded by the gravel lot. It was high up in these trees.
