Observation details
First observation at 0818. 6 counted on property. Unusually late sightings for this site - usually the bluebirds have moved on by now, presumably because of the virtual absence of suitable nesting cavities here. Several males and females seen in reach 1, joining the other four thrush species in foraging in the burned-over chokecherry thickets. The MOBL were generally foraging higher than the other four ground-feeding species, perching part of the way up in the burned canopy and dropping down to the ground intermittently. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 5 on property. 1 flyover(s).
