Observation details
We saw 3 individuals which were roosting on the trees along the Indira Gandhi canal area. They appeared smaller than the house sparrow with a distinctly smaller bill. It was very foggy but we have taken some pics which will be uploaded soon. There was no human habitation in that area. Our guide Mr Anand Prasad mentioned that he had seen many Sind sparrows in the same area in Dec 2017. They were in large numbers seen on the tall grass along the river bed. This time there was no water in the river and all the grass had dried up. Based on the habitat and the appearance of the bird we concluded the id as Sind sparrow.
