Media notes
Note how small the two possible phalaropes are in comparison to the Ring-billed Gull.
Observation details
Spotted by Bart Kamp. Observed by me, Bart, and Bette. Very distant, hundreds of meters away closer to far shore. Water surface very still and calm. Very small birds floating on the water. Nearby RBGU appeared enormous in comparison. I could distinguish phalorope profile. Not ducks and too small to be ducks. Blackish upper-parts with visible under-parts whitish. They flew around a bit and, to me, had the appearance of shorebirds in flight. Will post very low quality images as an edit.
