Bell’s Vireo, Montana de Oro SP--Islay Creek Mouth – 8.31.16
Observation details
The bird was first observed at 2:28 pm from the creek looking up, it was foraging at the top of the willows. The second observation was 2:56 pm when it dropped down to the creek. It came within 30 feet for a quick drink and bath while it repeated a “chee, chee” call. The vireo was overall drab in appearance, greenish and gray above with white below, two wingbars the lower one more pronounced than the one above it, light eye spectacles. Found earlier today [8.31.16] by Jim Royer.
