Observation details
**rare; immature (first-winter); seen very well at ponds along the entrance road; I believe this bird had been photographed earlier and was well-known. We had very good looks and the identification was obvious, and I surely considered Great Black-Hawk at the time and did not think that species was involved. [On 18 Jun 2014 I located these digiscoped images, which I had not recalled taking]:
