Media notes
Note line through lores and white supercilium. Underwings are gray. Light color on the breast is consistent with juvenile or post-breeding birds. Note long legs and strong, slightly drooping bill.
Observation details
The birds were in the pond at first. They flew towards me once, then came back to the pond. They eventually flew off, away from me. I had good scope views of the birds. At least two appeared to be juveniles with sharply contrasting light and dark, scaly backs. The legs were long and yellow to yellow-green. Some darkness on the upper breast. If they were adults, they were eclipsing, as none appeared gray. The bills were all long, fairly thick, and slightly drooped at the tip. White eyebrows were evident on the birds. The lower breast and belly were white.
