Observation details
Finally found one in the west!!🤣🤣 Along the shoreline w about 100 wfibs and a hybrid. First northern nevada record (?!) apparently pending NBRC acceptance. Studied at decently close range (15-40m) for about 10 minutes. Many digiscoped photos and videos taken (to be uploaded shortly). Description: This was a relatively bold anf well-marked Glossy. In almost every way, this bird mirrored the adjacent adult wfibs except in the head and the legs. The face was blackish-gray bordered by and sharply contrasting with two bright neon powder blue lines on either side of the face, forming a rough 45° angle. The legs were almost completely gray overall, with very subtle pinkish hints around the knee only visible in certain light (pinkish on the knee does not eliminate glib).
