Observation details
Female (or so I assumed at the time) vocalizing. This is the vocalization Pieplow describes as "disjunct song." I note, though, that Pieplow writes, "Both sexes reported to sing, though many brown-plumaged singers are likely first-spring males." This is likely the same bird that's been hanging around in our backyard for a while now that I've assumed is a singing female bird. But maybe it's a first-spring male?
