Observation details
***RARE, especially in Pima Co. Took flight and called once when a RTHA flew over - "ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti". Small gray-brown curlew - about the same size as a nearby avocet - without any cinnamon tones to wings or body; got a brief look at the underwing and it was similar in color. Striped head with median crown stripe; very short bill (for a curlew, that is). Tough to get any good shots due to the distance and fencing.
